Bisbee's Black & Blue Tournaments

Here's an opportunity for all of you! The Bisbees Black and Blue Tournament out of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, is scheduled for October 23-27, of this year. Top prize is estimated at - are you ready? - well over four million dollars. Anyone can enter as long as they have the time, equipment and entry fee. The total entry fee per boat, including all daily prizes is $63,100.

This is a serious Marlin tournament - billed as the richest billfish tournament in the world. I can see why! The winning team took home over two million in 2005 and 3.9 million in 2006. The total payout for 2006 was a whopping 4.2 million US dollars.

I have an inshore tournament coming up. The entry fee is $50 and first prize is around $1000. I'm not sure I can make the Cabo event, but I will keep you posted when the results are in!
