Heading Offshore Presents Problems
Saturday September 1, 2007
Late summer usually means calmer seas, at least in the southern Atlantic states. That’s good for most anglers, but it can be bad for those in smaller boats who choose to venture offshore. I've seen 17 foot shallow draft boats up to 25 miles off the coast on calm days. Luckily the weather did not kick up. If it had, there is no way they could have made it back to shore!
