Last week's Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament brought out the "grinch" in a lot of people as they faced discourteous boaters at the launch ramp. Professionals who have no time for local anglers took the scarce dock space (breaking the posted law) as hundreds of boats tried to launch in the pre-dawn morning. It was ugly, and tempers were on edge. If people would simply follow a few common sense rules, and respect other anglers, it could go a lot smoother. This applies to any launch site on any given summer weekend.
