"Just once before I die, I would like to have the perfect fishing trip". I've heard a lot of people make that statement over the years - myself included. I wonder what their idea of a perfect trip is? Is it catching the biggest fish of your life? Is it catching more fish than you ever have before? Is it having your picture published with some great angling feat? It used to be all of those and more for me, once upon a time.

Catching as many Fish as you’re willing to Clean!
Thanks, Pop.
Ron,
Great article. I hope your sons do the same thing for you some day. I’m always said I want my spread in Hawks Channel.
mine was when I was 10 years old fishins with my dad andhis frienf Mr barker on his boat off Staten Island. We found a green shrimp bed and caught 72flonder. The memorie of fisging with my dad is my greatest with him. He has been gone now for 12 years. I took my kids to the same fishing grounds and shared with them. Now I’m looking forward to taking my 9 grandkids and sharing the joy and peace of fishing
