These lures are ones that I use day in and day out when fishing for seatrout. They all work and they all catch fish. Some days topwaters work better and some days, grubs work better. There are hundreds of lures to choose from and more than these will work. These are the ones I depend on.
1. Mirrolure Trout Blue/Silver/Chartreuse
This old standby lure has been around for at least fifty years that I am aware of. The new blue and chartreuse color is one that trout love. Other colors are coming into use, like coffee and some greens and oranges, but this blue and chartreuse seems to outfish them.
2. Sea Shad Electric Chicken
This is a swimming action grub tail that can really turn the fish on. This curious color combination works extremely well. Often when no other color works, this one will catch fish. Use it on a one quarter to one half ounce jig head and work the channel edges, cuts, and oyster bars.
