Here's What I Caught
Red Fish about 8lbs. in shallow water late morning in the middle of July.
Here's How and Where I Caught It
I caught this Red on yum worm brown pumpkin green tail and jig I was using a 6'6" bait casting rod with a Shimano Curado 100 with power pro 10lb. We were fishing tailing red fish in the early morning but I could not set the hook on one since I am a Bass Fisherman I set the hook to soon you have to let them take it and feel them on. By late morning the fish went down with sun coming up so we moved out to deeper water about 5 ft. and it was just still so my guide told me to hold on and he did something I would not have done but it worked I can not tell you what it was but the water just stated to move and he polled over to the moving water and to my surprise this bull red was chasing my bait back to the boat and wham he hit it and the fight was on for about 10 minutes was that ever fun. It was the est trip I have ever had to Florida I will go again and hope to catch a Grand Slam.
Advice
- If I had one thing to say about this trip I would get a guide for this kind of fishing. They know the water and how to fish it And it is a lot of fun I did go by myself and it was worth the price of the charter.
